CLINIC: 클리닉

A facility that diagnoses and treats people suffering from diseases or psychological disorders

The clinic, created by KANGMOK and CLEM, aims to express the world of the unconscious or the world of dreams.

They name themselves as Dr, Mok and Dr, Clem and they directly express and look at the aspects of the unconscious living within each of them.

We invite the audience to a surreal world through hybrid faces, where strange faces gather to form a world, and through the transformation of bizarre but friendly bodies, which eliminates prejudices about our own shapes.

질환이나 심리적 장애로 괴로워하는 사람들을 진단 치료하는 시설

강목 작가와 클램 작가가 만든 클리닉은 무의식의 세계 내지는 꿈의 세계의 표현을 지향한다.

그들의 작품들은 치료가 필요한 Dr. Mok, Dr, Clem 으로 자신을 명칭하며, 각자의 내면속에 살고있는 무의식의 모습들을 직접적으로 표현하여 바라보고 있다.

묘한 얼굴들이 모여 세계를 이루며 그 속을 통해서 자신이 보이도록 하는 하이브리드 얼굴들과 기괴하지만 친근한 몸들의 변형으로 우리가 가지고 있는 형태에 대한 편견을 없애주는 형태들을 통해 관객들을 초 현실적 세상으로 초대한다.

This exhibition title is the "Start from bottle" originally stared from bottom of the "Start from bottom". It is talking about space, body and where we started and where we belong as a video, painting, sculpture and illustration.

In the video, we are talking about the true property.

The artist, who thinks that freedom is the main principle of life, makes us aware that the space we live in exists in the body, not on the ground or on the building. If we recognized that, it would be more freedom ourselves. In painting and sculpture, the artist is talking about the body she is thinking of. She thought that the principle of emptying and filling the bottle and the body was similar, so she freely expressed the inside and the outside in the her own style. In this exhibition, the artist compares our bodies to object, so that the human body can be anything, We are informed that there is inside not above some space.

이번 "Start from bottle"은 원래 "Start from bottom" 바닥에서 부터 시작되었다. 라는 문장을 인용하여 병 에서 부터 시작되었다 라고 표현되는데, 영상 그림 조각 일러스트로써 공간과 몸 그리고 우리가 어디서부터 시작되었고 속해있는지에 대해서 이야기를 하고있다.

영상 에서는 진정한 공간에 대해서 이야기 하고있다. 삶의 주를 자유라고 생각하는 작가는 우리가 살고있는 공간은 땅위, 건물위가 아닌 몸속에서 존재한다는것을 인지시켜주며 이것을 알아차리는 순간 우리는 좀 더 자유롭게 삶을 대할수있지 않을까 라는 문장을 제시한다.

페인팅과 조각 에서는 작가가 생각하는 몸 에 대해서 이야기 하고있다. 병과 몸은 비우고 채우고 무언가를 담아내는 원리가 비슷하다고 생각하여, 그 속과 겉을 작가만의 스타일로 자유롭게 표현하였다. 이번 전시에서 작가는 우리의 몸을 사물에 빗대어 표현함으로써, 인간의 몸은 무엇이든 될 수 있으며, 우리는 어느공간 위가 아니라 그 속에 존재한다는것을 알리고 있다.
